The team had a weekend that was both challenging and great comaraderie in Penticton September 7 to 9, 2018.
We car pooled from the island on Friday, arriving just in time to enjoy a fun-filled dinner with other breast cancer survivor teams in a local park.
Saturday we participated in two 500m heats on Skaha Lake plus a special Cancer Survivor heat followed by the very emotional carnation ceremony. Sunday morning we gained silver in the final bronze heat - and many of us proudly displayed our medals on the ferry ride home the next day.
